Check before you buy

Read the tint sticker on the lid
the base and formula printed there let any paint desk re-mix more of the exact color later. A can without one is a one-can commitment.
For opened cans, check the surface
a thin skin is normal and strains out. Rust on the rim, a sour smell, or chunks that will not stir smooth mean it is done.
Match sheen as carefully as color
