What we collect
Account details (email, name, and for business accounts a company name and city), the listings and photos you post, messages you send on the platform, saved searches, and basic usage data (views, saves).
Location
Listings store a zip code only. We display a neighborhood or city label and distance, never an exact address. Pickup addresses you choose to share in private messages stay in those messages.
How we use it
To run the marketplace: showing listings, matching saved-search alerts, delivering message and follower notifications by email, and moderating reported content. We do not sell personal data.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to count page views and see which parts of the site get used. Plausible is cookieless and privacy-focused: it sets no cookies, does not track you across other websites, does not build a profile of you, and collects no personal data. It records aggregate figures such as page, referrer, country, browser, and device type, and nothing that identifies you.
We send transactional email only: account access, message notifications, alert matches, and follower updates for Traders you follow.
Your data
You can edit your profile and delete listings, saved searches, and saves at any time.
Deleting your account
Sign in and go to Account → Profile → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your account, listings, photos, messages, offers, saved items, storefront, and credentials are all removed. Nothing is retained afterward except records we are legally required to keep (for example, payment records held by our payment processor for tax and accounting purposes).
If you cannot sign in, email support@buildtrader.app from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
